The Command in use is net user. If you’ve never used a command in windows, let us learn to try it.
- Open cmd or DOS via Start > Run then type cmd and press enter.
- So what commands can be used to change the password? The command we will use is net command. To see what is the usefulness of the net command, type net/? then press Enter. To be more specific, we will use the net user command. Type this command that will display a list of existing users on Windows are. Usually users are on windows xp is the administrator, your users, guest.
- Then, how can we change the password of these users? Type the command line net user/? to know the functions of this command.
- To make changes to your user’s password on the user must choose which one you want to give your password or you want to remove the password, for example, administrator user so you just type in cmd windows the command net user administrator 123456 then enter.
- Try to logoff, and login with the user that the password had been changed. Password will be changed to 123456 in accordance with our request.
- What if want to empty/delete the password? Typing:Â net user administrator*
- Then if there is a display to request a new password, leave blank then press enter until the change password message has been successfully conducted.
